Through baggage reclaim and security very quickly. Arrived back at hotel to collect car 9.30pm. Too late to drive 5 hrs to home. So diverting to spend a night at brothers in Warwick. Just 84 miles away. Will continue home tomorrow morning.

Landed 20 minutes early at 8.10 pm. Now time to collect luggage, catch the Heathrow express from T3 to T5 then catch the heathrow hopper back to the hotel to collect the car.

Clocks back 1 hour to BST so now 6.30 pm. Finished book 6 so making a start on book 7 of Peter James ‘ s Roy Grace detective thrillers.

Boarded flight on time. Flight not quite full so we have 3 seats between the 2 of us. Scheduled to take off on time at 18.55.

A quick look around the duty free shop then settled for a delicious ice cream. Cost – just over £1. Everything reasonably priced in Budapest.

Transfer to Airport took half an hour. Checked in bags and proceeded to security. My bag was selected at random to be swiped for drugs ! Pleased to say results came back negative within seconds !

Back at hotel
Returned to hotel just after 3pm. Collected luggage. Now sitting in the lounge enjoying coffee / water for an hour whilst we wait for our transfer to the airport. Derek snoozing.
